A Woman's cry By: Anne Dorothée Constant

Mistreated and abused
I stand alone pleasing the other sex.
I'm all confused
Wondering why such faith's been put upon my head.
I do all these chores
That're expected of me to do.
Despise my flaws,
I smile like a fool.

You think I'm inferior
Because I'm just a female,
But like an eternal fire
I'll always prevail.
You isolate me
Because we don't see eye to eye
But I'll put up a fight
Until you finally listen to me.

You call me a female,
Female is what I am.
But I'm not the weak creature
You imagine me to be.

I let out many cries
But you never hear me.
I die a little inside
When I think about how life would be without me.
I've been created to support you
But you think im no use.
But let me tell you a secret
I'm the angel that you always needed.

I'm your mother
I'm your sister
I'm your wife
Together we will build a life.
We will stay unified
For once upon a time
We were one.

I'm stronger than you think I could be
I go through a lot of pain;
I keep it all in
My courage's never in vain
Cause I love hard
I cry hard
I go hard to satisfy your needs.
But why are mine neglected?

You call me a female
Female is what I am.
I will never fail
To get my point across.
I'll keep screaming
Until you finally hear me out.
